Stylish Moms

After some women have children, they correlate fashion with sweats and Ugg boots. One of my biggest pet peeves is to see a kid all dolled up and the mom looks like she just rolled out of bed. C'mon MOMS!!! My question is this...isn't it just as easy to throw on jeans as it is to throw on sweats?! I am NOT saying get red carpet ready every day but just look like you care. It's important to take care of yourself as well as your child.

One of my favorite celeb examples of a stylish mom is Jessica Alba. Her style is easy, simple but TOGETHER!!!

So come on all my fellow moms!! Let's take time for ourselves and dress to impress. You might be surprised how good you'll feel!

P.S. It doesn't hurt to get "Red Carpet" ready sometimes either....your man might love it. wink wink!

The SHOES, The SHOES....it's gotta be the SHOES!

I am always into shoes, ALWAYS, but recently I have a particular fetish for loafers. They are my new Uggs...by that I mean they go with everything! Any shoe you can rock with everything is a shoe for me.

We can't and won't ever talk about shoes without talking the Mac Daddy designer of designers. Oh yea, you already know...Christian Louboutin. The Red Bottom Rollerball Loafer is my absolute die for FAV!

Hot Hot Nails!!

One thing you will learn about me is that one of my favorite things is NAILS. I love polish, I love art, and I love designs. I think one of the sexiest thing about a man or woman is well manicured nails!! So let me share some fabulous new trends for 2012 in the nail department!

GRADUAL OMBRE: Oh yea baby! Getting this done pronto!!! If you have too many polishes laying around and can't choose, this is a hit for you! So simple...just take 5 shades in the same color family and move them from light to dark! GORG!

SNAKESKIN MANI/PEDI: This is for my Trendy Followers that have some $$$ to blow or deserve a nice treat (we ALL need that sometimes). This super chic style originated in Las Vegas and runs around $300!! Yea I said it....$300. Hey..the best things in life are never cheap, right?!

NEWSPAPER NAILS: These stylish nails are so HOT and the best part is YOU CAN DO IT AT HOME!!! I love experimenting at home and although I haven't tried this yet, it looks so easy! Just polish your nails with a base coat, then a light white or cream, dip your nail in alcohol and hold a strip of newspaper on the nail until the words transpose. Easy Breezy!!

Making a comeback....

So 2012 is off to a crazy start. I am dieting again, running again, and now writing again. This has been, and still is threaputic for me so let the blogging begin.

As before my primary writing will be on fashion. But as I stated the "therapy" part might take me here, there and everywhere hence "The Trendy Cherub & Then Some".

I would like to thank Fashion Revolutionaire for her inspiring writing. I literally hang on every word and can't wait to see what's going on in her head and in her life. I hope you all find the same with me.....I might not be the open book you think I am...wink wink!
